Who Is Alexa?

“Action Alexa” is an internationally published sports model, celebrity trainer and nutrition & lifestyle coach with over 15 years experience in the health & fitness industry. She started her career as a body double for top American fitness model Victoria Pratt, was part of the judging panel for the internationally acclaimed Body for Life competition and has worked with NZ’s world champion rugby team, the All Blacks.  She has qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Champs, and was named as one of the 5 “Toughest Trainers in Asia” during her 7 year stint in an MMA Gym in Hong Kong.

She is renowned for her ability to cultivate a stellar work ethic in those she trains, and in her words, “there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a woman become empowered in the weights room and then watching how this changes her attitude towards the rest of her life”.

TRAIN For Your Objective

Everybody has different objectives, body types and levels of fitness and experience.  There is no “one size fits all” model for personal training.  This means a different approach is used for each client according to their own specific interests, goals and needs, and Alexa is passionate about delivering an experience that is challenging, empowering and relevant. 

Alexa has a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology and Psychology, with postgraduate papers in Sports Management and Kinesiology, and accredited with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

She is a fully certified instructor with the legendary Gym Jones (responsible for the physiques in 300 and Superman ), an internationally certified Polestar Pilates and Ankorr Instructor, and has completed in-house training and study under industry leaders Poliquin, Merinovich, Gray Cook and Martin Rooney.  In addition, she is the female mentor for Coach Keegan’s Real Movement Project.

Sound nutrition is the foundation for health and wellness, body composition and physical and psychological performance.  Food may be manipulated to achieve a specific goal, so it’s essential that you learn how to eat for your objective.

A Precision Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach, Alexa has extensive experience in developing successful and sustainable plans for general health & wellbeing, body composition and sports performance, and has worked with individuals, sports teams and families. She has a very holistic approach and her primary area of interest is “Gut Health”. All her nutrition plans are designed with, and approved by an accredited and registered nutritionist.

The importance of lifestyle choices are under-estimated.  Stress management, exposure to toxins and sleep are all vital components of a bigger picture.  Alexa is passionate about empowering her clients and giving them the tools to make better choices, both inside and outside the gym. 

Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to shed fat from your trouble spots. Based on the theory that where we store fat is down to our unique hormonal profile, Bio Signature Modulation can explain why some men develop man boobs or a spare tyre, and why some women have slender stomachs but thunder thighs.

The Bio Signature assessment involves taking skin-fold measurements with calipers at 12 different points on the body. Different areas of fat correspond to different hormones. The individual readings identify areas where there is a disproportionate amount of fat, and thus pinpoints potential hormonal imbalances in the body. You can work to reduce the imbalances using different types of training, nutrition, supplements and lifestyle modifications, allowing for spot specific fat reduction.
